Full Description
Students will be required to make two major oral presentations during this course.  These presentations will be based on original lesson plans prepared by the student. One of the lesson plans will be graded.  A uniform or coat and tie for male students or appropriate professional attire for female students will be worn while making the graded presentation.

Each lesson plan will require at least two reference sources.  If a student knows that they will be teaching specific topics when returning to the department, they should bring research materials that would allow them to develop lesson plans for those topics.  Wireless internet access should be available for students that have a laptop computer. Printers should be available. Please note that the topic of firearms may not be used as a presentation during this course. Other topics should be public safety related. Visual aids that will assist a student instruct their chosen topic shall be brought by the student.

Prerequisites
To attend this training, Law Enforcement Officers are required to have three years experience as a Law Enforcement Officer; Telecommunicators are required to have three years experience as a Telecommunicator.
