Course Description:

This course is designed for patrol officers who have been exposed to basic patrol rifle skills.

The course is designed to bring about a better understanding of what an officer, their rifle, optics, ammunition and tactics can be expected to produce in field deployments. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of the officers understanding their equipment and personal limitations before facing a real-word encounter.

This course is not for snipers, tactical entry or close quarter battle. It instead will focus on what a patrol officer can reasonably expect to accomplish with his individually equipped patrol rifle from near contact to 200+ yards without using manual sight adjustments or holdovers at this stage of training. Your officer should leave here knowing what his baseline capabilities and limitations are at those distances.  

He will be exposed to some of the many unpredictable variables that may exist when the time to deploy the rifle arrives. He will then attempt to compensate for any of those variables and learn that baseline as well.

Bring:

Dept. issued or approved patrol rifle with optics. No hard-sight only rifles.

Duty issued or approved ammunition 200+ RDS. No A.P., Green Tip, Tracer, Incendiary.

Spare Optic Batteries.

If possible, Bring the manual for your optic.
